Basel has over 4'000 guest beds. However, the large fairs like Baselworld and Art Basel attract more than 90’000 exhibitors and visitors from all over the world in only a few days. As a rule, the hotels are fully booked up to one year in advance, and many guests are forced to put up with a lot of travel time because of the lack of nearby overnight accommodation. One to two hours of travel time from the hotel to the fair and back are no exception!
